PARTNERSHIP UPDATE

A substantial number of Members have heard the news about our proposed partnership and shared their excitement. The addition of branches, the availability of more products and services, and the continuity of World-Class Service are just some of the reasons you’ve told us why you’re in favor of our proposed merger with Credit Union of Southern California (CU SoCal).

We know you look forward to the additional value this merger will bring and we are diligently working toward uniting our two well-run credit unions. We have provisional approval from the Department of Business Oversight to move forward and are now awaiting approval from the NCUA. We will keep you updated on our progress and, following regulatory approval, will ask you to vote on our merger.

The union between CCCU and CU SoCal will combine two healthy, well capitalized, and financially sound credit unions. Unlike bank mergers that are designed to make money for stockholders, this exciting partnership benefits you. It will provide you with additional products, conveniences, and value that would take CCCU years to provide you on our own. Combining our two healthy organizations will immediately provide you with greater value and convenience.

Your accounts will continue to be federally insured with equal coverage, and you’ll see the same friendly faces in your branch as you see today. All front-line employees will remain with our combined organization.

ATM Cards
The CCCU offers ATM cards as a convenience to qualifying members to access their accounts. The card gives you access to your checking and regular share savings accounts 24-hours-a-day, 7 days a week, at most ATMs in California and throughout the nation.  For the nearest surcharge-free ATM, call (888) SITE CO-OP ((888) 748-2667).

You may withdraw up to $300 per day at any network ATM. Our national ATM networks include the CO-OP®, STAR System® and EXPLORE® Point-of-Sale ATMs. At EXPLORE® Point-of-Sale ATMs in gas stations, markets, restaurants and convenience stores, you may use your credit union ATM card to directly debit your checking account for purchases made. There is no credit union fee for point-of-sale transactions (however, merchants may occasionally charge fees).



Check Cards
Looks Like a Credit Card Works Like a Check …

Your Credit Union has an outstanding Debit Card Program! With your Debit Card you can access your regular Share Draft/Checking Account worldwide. Use your Check Card to purchase goods and services exactly like you would use a Visa Credit Card except that, instead of borrowing for a fee, you are accessing your Share Draft/Checking Account for Cash!

Any merchant that honors Visa Credit Cards will accept your Visa Debit Card, even those who do not accept regular checks!

Automated Telephone System
Our automated telephone service allows members to take care of routine credit union business by telephone almost any time of day or night, including weekends and holidays. All you need is a touch-tone telephone, your personal identification number (PIN) and a few easy transaction codes. This service is completely automated, gives you real-time, convenient 24-hour access to your credit union accounts from your home or office, on the road, or anywhere else you find a touch-tone phone. And best of all, the service is absolutely free of charge.

Use the automated telephone service to:

  • Make share, checking, loan and certificate balance inquiries
  • Transfer funds between your own accounts
  • Make loan advances
  • Learn when your last deposit or loan payment was recorded
  • Inquire about cleared checks

Online Banking
CCCU loves to see your smiling face. But when you don't have time to visit us in person, how about visiting us online? Online banking can save you time. You'll no longer have to wait at an ATM to check your balance, and you can view your accounts anytime--not just during branch hours of operation. You'll be able to check your balance, view transaction records, transfer money between accounts, and communicate with us via e-mail.

As long as you have access to the Internet, online banking allows you to contact us from anywhere. It's especially convenient for members who aren't always in close proximity to the credit union--those who travel a lot or are away from home--maybe in college dorm rooms.
